I am thinking about buying a property in the next few months in the westcliff/southend on sea area
I just wondered how a airport in the north of kent would affect house prices in the area, thanks

It would bring huge amounts of inward investment as well a lots of jobs, so property prices are likely to rocket skywards0

But if it was built where suggested around the Cliffe area
it only looks between 2-4 miles away from southend on sea.. wouldn't the pollution and noise put people off?
thanks0 -
Bear in mind that Southend Airport (OK, 'London Southend') itself is expanding rapidly. EasyJet started flying from there in April and the number of destinations will increase further next year.0

yes ive actually flown from there it very small, this would be as big if not bigger the heathrow...0

i thought the property prices would drop because of the pollution/noise pollution? well i hope you are right a really do want to move to that area just scared at how close it would be0

You have also got to realise that this is all pie in the sky at the moment. Even if it is agreed, it will still take decades to get operating.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

The Thames Estuary Airport will never get off the ground, but if it did, I would have thought property prices in the immediate vicinity would nose dive.0
