I really dont see the point of paying contents insurance, year after year and not claim on it.
Ring them and ask them if you made a claim for say a TV how much would premiums rise .Dont cancel your insuranance, that isnt what I meant, you still need this to cover you for flood, fire, etc,

I guess you have a freeview box already as by 24th October no one in UK will be able to receive an analogue signal so a CRT television can only be used as a monitor. Go ahead - bite the bullet, it must be at least 7 years since you last bought a new television.John0
