I'm looking to book flights for two, flying out to Vancouver and back from Toronto in June 2013. Airline probably BA. I had a look at the kind of prices I would be looking at while they had their last sale on, and have had another look since then and they already seem to have gone up by about £400  Just wondering now if I should wait for the post-Xmas sales to book or if I should just bite the bullet and book now?

Do you want non-stop flights from LHR on specific dates?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

There *should* be a BA Sale along in the next few weeks, although it may not go out as far as June.
I say *should* because BA have had an unusual pattern to their offers this year, with the Team GB-flavoured 'Sales', so it is a bit harder than usual to guess...
What Class and airport options are you looking at and have you considered Canadian Affair?British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Thanks for your quick replies. Dates aren't specific except we fancy June, I have been told I can have 2 weeks off then and can fit it around whenever works out cheapest for flights/hotels etc then firm dates up with work.
Tying in to the second kind poster, I am in Aberdeen and so we would like to fly from there which (I think) leaves us with Lufthansa via Frankfurt, KLM via Amsterdam, BA via Heathrow or Air France via Paris. I have flown with Canadian Affair before and it was fine but I am willing to pay the extra to fly direct from Aberdeen. I would like to fly BA for the Avios as I am close to having enough for 2 business class flights to Toronto for the next time we visit and also for the convenience of not having to fly further East before flying West but if it's going to be mega bucks compared to another option then I will just go for the cheapest!
Person travelling with me is a student so STA travel are looking quite good but they just seem to have Lufthansa flights available.0 -
The only tip I'd have is try considering Air Transat, they fly from Glasgow.
https://www.skyscanner.net is great, as you can select the whole month of june, and any scotland airport.0 -

Thanks, I am indeed a skyscanner convert but unfortunately it is no use as I don't think it does multi-city, happy to be corrected though!
Would rather fly from ABZ and in fact the last time we went, a sale flight from Air Canada flying from Aberdeen was cheaper than Air Transat from Glasgow by the time you factored in travel to Glasgow, and the flight was a much more pleasant experience also0 -

At https://www.cheapoair.co.uk you could have:
For £1192 (total price for two people)0 -
Anyone else got any ideas? I'm au fait with finding a flight but wanted some opinions on whether to book now or wait for winter seat sales
The worrier in me wants them booked now
Sure there is probably no right answer!

TBH I personally think tat you'd be better off booking now.
I recon the flight I've put in the post above looks quite good, as it was the cheapest one I saw without silly waiting times. It's now £1193 total price for two people. Just to compare, here's BA's offering, at £1684 total price for two adults:
Edit: The reason being in winter people think of summer holidays, therefore prices go up, then seem to come back down to normal in the sales? That's what seems to happen to me anyway0 -
Thanks, just going to go ahead and book0
