My new fish tank - but one death

But like we keep telling you,if the water isn't right,ie high levels of ammonia and nitrite caused by the fish waste they are forced to breathe in and swim around in,there is absolutely no point in any medication.you have GOT to sort out the root cause.Which is too small a tank, and an immature filter. You can only begin to help these poor fish by massive water changes every single day.
I will, just once more, provide a link which explains how and why water is the key to whether a fish gets sick or not.

sadly i now fear it is too late for your fish but you can at least try.Do a big water change NOW and do not medicate.
and a thread similar to your situation

I don't know what more i can do but if you read about others in a similar situation you might finally realise we are not just making it up,and actually know better than some minimum waged newbie at a pet store who just wants to earn some money and will give out any old info as long as it results in a sale..0 -
Listen to all the excellent advice given. Your fish are ill as they are burning in the ammonia in the water and as there is sufficient good bacteria to consume the ammonia, they will get sick and die.
You need to learn about the ammonia-nitrite-nitrate cycle
Never turn off your pump as this will starve beneficial bacterial from oxygen
Goldfish are VERY messy fish and need much more space than tropical. Your tank is too small
Return the fish, get a larger tank and let it cycle properly using either an ammonia source or fish food. Can take approx 6-8 weeks
I keep marine fish by the way0
