    Hiya,

Just thought I'd leave a quick note to say you are going to have down days unfortunately, but things will get better again. I was basically catatonic on Monday and Tuesday and could barely get dressed, but today and yesterday I've achieved quite a lot. Have a creepy hug. :grouphug:

Glad to hear you're sticking to the meal plan and the kids are going for it - I love having things organised so I don't have to think about them and make impulsive decisions. Also well done on the DLA form - they have the weirdest questions on them don't they?! These are big things to do when you're down, so well done.
    Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.
    O/D £500. Weight loss: 12/28lbs :o Savings owed [STRIKE] £3000 [/STRIKE] now £2250 :( Total debt: [STRIKE] £6760 [/STRIKE] now £5440
  • Hi Fudgefund - thanks for the creepy hug!

Yes, the DLA form was baffling. I was highly confused by some questions and not sure I answered them all correctly but I put down as much information as I could so it was worth a go.

Managed a lot of cleaning yesterday - fridge, microwave, downstairs windows, washed all the nets, cleared loads of clutter off the top of the fridge and storage unit, did loads of washing up and clothes washing. Sorted out loads of odd socks, tidied upstairs and generally made things better.

Feeling ok today. Not great but not bad. Figured out some of my problem might be to do with green tea. I switched from black tea to green about 5 days ago and I have had about 15 cups a day, so someone did say it might be a huge detox I am going through and that might be making me feel rubbish.

    Who knows !!

Got half term now so house full of kids so I will make sure we get out of the house and go for walks or to the park. Fresh air is free!

  • Well after a few ( 14!) sleepless nights I have today decided I will file for bankruptcy. I have no idea if I will get it approved, but I feel something drastic has to happen or I will end up dead. Sorry if that sounds dramatic, but I am so close to going under if defies belief.

I have read through some of the bankruptcy board, spoken to CAB and now just need to save up £700 for the fees. This is not going to be easy at all.

Hope everyone is ok and all is well

If they dont approve it, or whatever the technical term is, at least I have ruled out one option.

Blimey I dident realise the fee was 700 south of the border as it is 200 here.
Can you pay it up?Again, you can here.
Any previous employment that may have a benevolent fund that could help you out with the fees?
For what it is worth I think you have made the right decision.

Right, you need to look into fee waivers.
    There are two types.
One is income dependant & the other is based on what benefits that you may get.
You still have to pay most of it but tis better than nowt.
    HTH.

  • Thank you Beanielou. Once again, no one close to me is offering any advice - they all just go along with whatever I say. If I told them I was joining the circus and growing a beard, they would give me a round of applause and buy me some posh luggage.

I appreciate your comment about my decision. I thought if I needed sensible advice and people that tell you straight, MSE is the place to come :)

Thake that back, I would never buy you posh luggage, cheap luggage from Ebay maybe... seriously though you know I'm not just agreeing with you I honestly think it's not only the right choice but the only choice :)
  • You threw me then Sox77 - have you changed your user name :)

Thank you for the chat last night - it really really did help. I knew friends would be divided and some would support me and some would freak out, but I didnt expect the judging quite so soon :(

Your advice made sense and I appreciate an honest opinion about what I am doing because my head is kerfuddled and I think I am losing perspective.

I think the key point you made and others on here is what would you tell someone else in your situation? And I then knew I am doing the right thing.

Got the forms today - I had a panic attack in the court so this is going to be as difficult as I had anticipated. 3 day wait from handing forms in to getting interview so I need to work out how to get the £700 together now.

Still feeling guilty and on the brink of a breakdown, but there is possible light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in 4 years.

    Deep breath

    You can do this.
It might be hard but you can do it.
Remember to look into fee vaivers.
