I used to unblock mine with a wooden chopstick and that was great until it snapped off in there. Any ideas how to get it out?

Is it possible to take the fridge out of its position and look at the back? Usually, I believe, there is a little bowl there to catch the condensation drips that fall through the drainage hole.

The second part of the advice everyone above has given, is: keep stuff in the fridge away from the back, do not let anything touch the back wall. As the condensation drips down, it will take tiny pieces of packaging with it, and this will plug up the drainage hole. Espcially paper/cardboard packaging is bad for this.

About a year ago my dad mentioned he was going to have to replace his fridge as he was getting a lot of water accumulating at the bottom of his fridge and having to use wipe it up daily. He was amazed when I told him to waggle a unfolded paper clip in the drainage hole but tried it any way. He is very pleased that he still has the fridge running trouble free. Sacrificing a paperclip to avoid buying a new fridge, definatly worth it.

Can you get access to the bottom of the drainage hole on the outside and try pushing the broken bit back out with something else?

If you do, use metal not wood to save bunging up both ends;)
