Villaware BVVLESSL01 espresso maker..

2 heaped teaspoons is enough for a single shot (or 30ml) of espresso, so for a decent latte you'll need 6 heaped tea spoons, which equals 3 shots (or 90ml)
I just made myself an americano, each shot took around 15 seconds to make. What's worrying me is this:it usually looks a bit dark to begin with but then within a few seconds becomes quite light.
The whole process should only take a few seconds. Me thinks you're trying to get too much espresso out of one lot of coffee...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Hello, I am new to using a forum so please forgive me if I'm doing this wrong.
I bought a VillaWare Espresso Maker BWLESSL01 last week, via Groupon, read the instructions from cover to cover and did what they said. i.e. before using for first time "prime the pump". I tried this but on each occasion both amber lights started flashing after the pump/motor had made noises for 10 secs, paused then 3 secs. No water or steam was dispensed.
I rang the Villa Ware service number yesterday (Saturday) and got an odd recorded message saying that they were closed and to call again, quoting Saturday times of between 9am and 8pm (I had rung at 5pm).
Does any one know what I am doing wrong, is there a fault with the machine or is Villa Ware not contactable? Many thanks0 -
Make sure there is water in the resevoir
1 Ensure that the control knob switch is in the
OFF position, then press the center of the
control knob to turn on unit.
2 Press the froth function button. Froth light
ring will pulse.
3 After the froth light becomes solid, place
a cup under the frothing tube and turn
the control knob clockwise to the froth
position.
4 After 30 seconds, turn the control knob
counter-clockwise to the OFF posit0 -
the maximum it will allow me to put in is about 3-4 teaspoons but no more than that...0

So you need to do 2 runs! Domestic machines are quite limited compared with commercial ones - but the price reflects that. You're looking at thousands for a full-on commercial machine that can do it in one hit with hotter water, higher pressures and bigger capacities!0 -
ok so have taken a picture as promised.
tried it again today in manual mode with the big filter full and it does taste a bit better....still not as strong.
so my next question is ....how do i post a picture?0 -
You need to upload it to somewhere like imageshack and then post the link after clicking on the image icon above your post0
