I was in a big Sada at the weekend with a huge empty cheese fridge and so I found an assistant who went in search of cheese.
Sadly there was none to be had, he did say though it was being discontinued to be replaced with 600g packs (2 x 300g maybe???)
(I dont belive the T stories about poor distribution of poor sales - other types and sizes of Cathedrel city in numerous stores so I doubt wether they would have problems with any one variant)Call_of_Trouty wrote: »Another different story from T's cs. This is the email they sent me.
I'm very sorry that you couldn’t purchase the Cathedral City Twin Pack which is on promotion at the moment. I understand how disappointed you must be as the store also didn’t give you a Raincheck voucher for when the item returns into the store.
I would like to advise you that a Raincheck voucher can be given for any special promotion and is not limited to mulitbuy promotions. I apologise that the wrong information was given.
Therefore, I’ve checked our central stocking system to see if the Cathedral City Cheese will be back in stock due to the current promotion being a “when it’s gone, it’s gone” promotion. Regrettably, it has been discontinued throughout all of our stores. We are not given a specific reason as to why this has happened but it is normally due to poor sales or supplier issues.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Had to share I'm getting toilet tissue to trial. As if I don't have enough already.
OMG, who from?
How on earth are you going to write reports and reviews“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I'm not getting into any rights/wrongs discussions but I don't think that this latest loophole/glitch/call it what you will is in quite the same league as re-using APG's or PP's. Those vouchers do clearly state 'single use only' and it is very dubious practice to try to re-use them. The stores have budgeted for single use and using them more than once is taking them for a ride.
I don't think it is hypocritical to use previously converted CC vouchers in Morrisons though - the vouchers are of absolutely no value whatsoever to Morries regardless of whether they have already been redeemed or not, they are just useless scraps of paper. Morries are accepting them purely as a slightly devious way of grabbing T's customers and bribing them to go into Morries stores. Most people who do this will go to Morries because either Morries are closer to their home than T's or because Morries have better special offers that they like the look of - and it will just be easier/more convenient etc for them to get to Morries. They will spend their CC vouchers, almost certainly spend a fair bit more cash on top of the vouchers and go away very happy with their cheaper shopping. Morries will also be happy cos they have managed to lure some of T's customers into their store and got them to spend cash. They will have budgeted for the initialCC loss. Its highly likely that a good proportion of these shoppers will choose to remain with Morries - they are only taking the vouchers at their new, vamped up stores and, after my visit today, I've got to say that my Morries beats T's hands down for choice, offers and presentation !
I know its all a matter of degree / personal comfort zone but Morries are actually ASKING us to take in our CC vouchers and they don't seem to have restricted their very generous off to 'virgin' vouchers only ! Not like when so many of us were flogging the APG/MSM glitch to death knowing full well it was an error which somebody was going to have to pay for (and there was talk of Asda taking legal action against MSM)
Its not likely to last long though as inevitably a few people will hammer it to death - there is already mention on PTS of the offer being withdrawn this afternoon.
Please lets not let it all kick off again with !!!!!ing and unpleasantness.

Haven't tried the raincheck voucher but went into my local this morning on way home and they had 4 boxes of the £1 cheese up. 1 empty, I emptied one and staff were buying loads on their way out too. Took me by surprise as they haven't had any since first discovered. SEL was £1 too
Edit: did mean to try for rainchecks for the nutri-grain but haven't had chance reallyMake it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

I still need a new sofa so had been looking for one today and found one I liked :T.
http://www.harvey-norman.co.uk/sofas/corner-sofas/pravda-2seater-with-chaise.html
Only problem now is getting the reduced in store cost of £699 to pay for it. I really need one as this one has seen better days, both seats springs now gone so got a few big squares of foam and covered with fleece material but looked bad so sofa now covered in a giraffe print fleece throw which DS pinches every night as he love the heat of it.
Now to continue saving but will still look for a cheaper version or similar one.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D
