if i remember rightly, there was a big fuss about 4p items either the end of last year or beginning of this year...as regards whether shops are allowed to sell the items or not (obviously the stores saying not!).....
again, if i remember correctly, one response from Ts was that the 4p stuff was given to charity - not sld to the public or staff.
tbh, I find it a bit bizarre ranting about not being allowed to buy 1p stuff...I'm grateful for all the glitches that various shops provide us with, plus whoopsies. Its a 'nice to have' at the end of the day, not a right to be sold something thats 1p, unless its marked up at that price.
Couponqueen, if you donate all your 1p finds (which is great), but are unable to now buy them, is there another way you could provide for a charity? Do you have spare time to volunteer or donate the savings you make in shopping to a charity?
I wouldnt want any store to be giving out of date food to a homeless shelter, but if the response that someone got earlier from ts is that non perishable items are given, then surely thats a good thing?hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -
Just spoken to DS and he has finally done some washing, first time in 3 weeks :eek::eek: and he didnt use his flipping airer! He paid 20p for 8 minutes to dry it and he said it cost a fortune. The thing I'm more annoyed with him for is he went with a whole wardrobe of new clothes and some of it was "no tumble dry" which I told him, so now he'll be moaning hes put on weight but more likely hes shrunk everything! And he was very proud of himself because hes changed his bed:rotfl::rotfl:after 3 weeks:eek:
I know what you mean about ruining clothes but DD2 has no choice this year, the housekeeper is accusing them all of drying their clothes in their rooms as some of them are getting a bit mouldy around the windows. Trouble is one lad she accused has not even done any washing yet!:eek::eek:
Last year she did it all the time, using her airer and nothing was mentioned. Think the room she has this year does not get much sun.0 -
I am having a problem with my APG from this morning
The barcode only has 19 digits, instead of the usual 20. I entered it anyway and it didn't recognise it so I thought maybe a digit had been missed off in printing? I have tried adding 0-9 at the beginning and end of the last group of digits with no luck.
Anyone else had this problem??? I am stumped and :mad: because I'm expecting around £10 APG along with my £5 off £40.
Really grateful if anyone has any ideas?0 -
I lurked in middle of night but no one was playing! dom is ill with bronchitis and is not a good patient!
I need some sleep xx
Hope he gets better soon. :A
I'm very tired today but had quite an early night for me last night. Just don't feel right today, I hope I am not going down with anything.0 -
Afternoon all
Slightly more awake than I was when I first posted!
Went to A's, wanted to do a £40 shop and use my £13 odd APG that was about to run out and seeing as it's nearly my Dads birthday I thought I would treat him to a bottle of Jura when I spotted it was £28.97 in A's and £23 in T's, so a nice wee return there
1 x Napolina Olive Oil (1L)£4.50£3.19
1 x Fox's Favourites (800g)£7.00£3.00
1 x Isle of Jura Single 10 Year Old Malt Whisky (700ml..
£28.97£23.00
So I've got a £14.80 APG and the £5 off wys £40  Plus a few other coupons, so I can now look forward to planning me a coupon shop...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
PRIDE
There's a fork in the road, which way will you go
You standing still or will you step into the great unknown,
Is yours to decide, this is your life.

I had one with 19 digits once and it went through at that.
I read on their website that there shoud be 16 - 20 digits I think.
ETA just had a look and it says 16 - 22 characters.0 -
Three lawyers and three engineers were travelling by train to the same meeting. At the station, the lawyers each buy a ticket but the engineers buy just one. When asked why, the engineers coyly say “You’ll see.”
They all board the train, the lawyers take to their seats, but the three engineers all crowd into the same toilet. After the train has left, the conductor comes around, takes the lawyers tickets and knocks on the toilet door saying, “Ticket Please.” An arm stretches out from the toilet and the conductor takes the proffered ticket.
The lawyers were very impressed!
On the return trip, the lawyers proposed to emulate the engineers and bought only one ticket. To their amazement, the engineers bought no ticket at all. When asked why, the engineers said, “You’ll see.”
When they were all board the train, the lawyers all went into one toilet whilst the engineers crammed themselves into another toilet to await the conductor. After a few minutes, one of the engineers emerges from the toilet, goes over to the lawyers toilet and knocks on the door saying: “Ticket please.”0 -

Going to have a go at finding some get up and go. Hope it does not take me too long, have got nothing productive done at all today except print out some SSM coupons. Ok I guess that is a little bit productive.0

I have had that happen once on the old system and when I tried the next day it found it.0
