You can buy tayto by the box online in the shop ! I think a tad expensive but when I was in Uni in England we used to get boxes delivered ! lol - we couldn't get them locally anywhere ! I now post the onion rings to my little bro at uni as I like to give him a wee taste of home while he's away!

Yes and if anyone is visiting NI try and go to the Tayto Factory for the tour. We have done it several times - kids love it as do the adults - samples as you go along and a good trip. :)

It should be ok as you can put petrol in a diesel but not the other way around......if he really filled it up you might have to drain some out but the diesel is heavier so at the bottom.....if its only a few gallons just fill to the top with diesel.hth,.
Sorry but this is the wrong way around, petrol burns hotter than diesel so does a lot more damage in a diesel engine also the fuel pump needs the "oil" in the diesel or that will, possibly, need replacing too as petrol does not have it, either way a tank drain will be needed:oSorry:o

  • Hi there,

It's probably old news to you sharp-eyed bunch, but I've just spotted Spam Fritters are on BOGOF in Sainsbury's at 2.00GBP , compared with 1.50GBP in Adsa. I think this may mean that if you have a voucher for Spam from facebook ( coupon page ) you can probably get 4 for the price of one ( I think!! ) but doubt it will brandmatch advantageously too. May be useful to someone who wants to try it. Voucher valid until 30th Oct and Sains offer until 5th Nov, so still time to see if it works.:)

But I may be wrong, as I only scored 4/10 in the quiz:(
I am not young enough to know everything.

    afternoon peeps :)

think its a myth about being able to put petrol into a diesel engine....hubster did it to my car a few weeks ago (when Ts had the petrol promo on).....within 24 hours the engine management light had come on, car lost power etc....we paid £130 to have the tank drained and flushed......but within a week or so, the light kept coming on and off, then a week later was permanently on....after a lot of faffing about we took it to a my dads friend who runs a garage, they did the diagnostics testing on it and it had the petrol residue in the fuel pump, which had it not been fixed, could of ended up completely kernacking the fuel pump and possibly injectors too....main Citroen garage quoted me between £500 - £2500 for this.....my dads friends garage did it for £51 :D (wasnt mates rates, thats just what they charge for diagnostics test & fuel pump clean).

I know other people might say different, but all the 'professional' mechanics I spoke to said once the engine light is on, the cr will not function 100% as its trying to prevent you doing further damage to it....and unless the problem is fixed, it could eventually justcause your engine to stop completely.

For me, I would rather pay to have the tank drained and flushed, then if the engine light comes on again, find a friendly family run garage (as opposed to a large commercial one that charges the earth!) and pay for the diagnostics test and repairs. The alternative is to hope and pray that the car doesnt decided enoughs enough and conk out on you :(

    good luck x

And AAU - a bit delayed but good luck for today....hope you're still with us :D
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

hears the sound of something heavy crashing next to you :D

    4p you ok mate ?

did the naughtly snap lady get a direct hit :D

    that'll learn you :rotfl::rotfl:

one hundred and eigghhttttyyyyy FQ , a direct hit .

After feeling the bumps on my head I deduce the object to be (the former redundant) saucepan that the MSE ladies love to throw at the men of the thread to keep them in line ...as you well and truely know from past experiences with said pan .:)

All ok here FQ , a bit quiet on the hobby front but real life is treating us well and Snap is filling up her lucky bags with cheapo items from the local T's so we can't grumble .

I hope things are well with you & yours mate , i haven't seen you or heard the clip clop of your horses for a while .
I hope your still investing wisely and if that saucepan heads your way again ...duck !!
I was young once , now I get older all the time .
