Afternoon all
Sorry to hear how manipulative you ex is being Imdebtfree. I cannot understand why people use their children as weapons. My ex husband left me when my son was 20wks old for his mistress that i knew nothing about. but my ex has seen our son every other week for 14 years. Yes and his tart(you must give me that one) has been to school events. My biggest fear would of been my son turning round to me when he was 18 and saying i hate you as you wouldnt let me see my dad.
When the school has a two parent policy at some events it has to,
i feel you have the right to be there and as you say you dont have to sit with her. I would try to reason with her to reconsider for your childrens sake. these events only happen once and your child wants you BOTH there.
Children dont ask to be born, but we should try our hardest to do the best job possible at being a parent even if we cannot be together.
You will have events such as 18th or 21st birthdays, weddings, grandchildren, graduations where you will both have to be present. So it is better to start practising now at being at events together, otherwise she might try to bann you from it all, and the school could be the thin edge of the wedge.
Good luck, and i hope commonsense prevails with your ex0 -

When we were lucky enough to visit the wonderful City of Belfast we really really loved the Tayto C & O ....full of proper taste and no hint of the chemical Walkers crisps.
I think we'll return for a bag one day in the future .:)I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -
