went for a walk this afternoon. peeps why is it that some people insist on walking on the right? from childhood i've been taught to walk on the left. yet some people walk right into you instead of walking on the left. some cyclists also ride on the right and nearly knock me off the path. would they even dream of riding on the right if they were on the road?? i don't think so.

Back in oilder times you could get away with a lot more. I remember a bunch of friends were driving to Edinburgh from Glasgow and at the first petrol station a well-meaning pal jumped out and topped the tank up with 2-star instead of 3-star petrol. Garage owner calmed everybody down and pointed out it shouldn't make a big difference as it as mixed up in the tank and would work its way through.

Did hear about somebody putting deisel ina ptetrol tank(don't know how - but I thiink at one point the nozzles weren't set up to prevent it) and it was a very big deal with all sorts of flushing out getting done at a garage. Not hundreds /thousands though althouggh I wam talking baout back in the early 80s!
