  • Morning all

Looking like it might be a nice day here, blue sky starting to peek through :)

Nothing really planned for today, maybe a walk round the canal with DD in a wee while will be in order.

Going to avoid the shops for a few days again, cba with it at the moment, normal shopping just isn't as fun as glitch shopping ;) :rotfl:

Good morning guys :D I am back from my break down near Portsmouth
I have been so busy down there. Kit has been very busy at work and so tired when at home, and Andy has been working at night as normal, so in bed till mid-afternoon, but I have been educating Steve in the art of APG glitching and then switched to getting the most out of coupons so we have been shopping almost every day :j They now have a very good stash of goodies and I had loads to bring home with me. The boot and back seat were loaded :rotfl: :rotfl:

It was Andy's birthday the first week I was there so we went out in the middle weekend for a meal and the cinema - the first time I have been to a cinema since 1990 when I won tickets on local radio to see Postcards from the Edge :o:o. I was originally coming home last Monday but they kidnapped me, by not waking me up in the mornings and you know how I can sleep and by the time I got up, too late to drive home in daylight. The poor doggies release date from [STRIKE]jail[/STRIKE] kennels was put back a few times. I drove back yesterday afternoon, getting home at 8.30pm, and, after getting rid of the mouse I'd caught in a trap , I unloaded all my stuff from the car and settled down with a drink to watch Downton Abbey, while doing some washing

The house is a tip, with the stuff I brought back from Newcastle and now these bags/cases, so I have a lot of sorting out today. I will be picking up the pups about 10.30am and then taking them to the 'beauty parlour' as they have appointment at 11am for the 'full works' so they are clean for coming home ;)
I have really enjoyed this break. 2 weeks up 'home' and then 2 weeks down with friends, who always make me smile. I have to thank Kit (savingannabe), Steve (steviehants) and Andy (hantsindebt) so much for the help they give me. When I am with them, I feel free of worries and sadness. I can't believe that I have known them for only 2 years, as we all feel like we have known each other forever, and can talk about anything. Alan said as much shortly before he died, that he couldn't believe how we had met them through the internet and yet, they were like family to us both, and that it made things easier for him to know that I would have them to rely on when he was gone :( Typing that brought tears to my eyes :(:(
And having you guys on here, and my friends on my diary thread, helps me more than I can say :A :A

What a lovely post 3dogs......although I will admit to being shocked reading the first line...."back from my break down" for a horrible moment I was :eek::eek: what have I missed!! :D

Sounds like you had a great time....and what fantastic friends you have! :A:A
Just goes to show what lovely people there are out there in cyberspace.
The Internet can be a horrible place at times, with nasty people who's only intention is to spout vitriol and spite ....but then a post like yours comes along to remind us of what a blessing it can be too.:)

I'm so glad you've met these fabulous friends of yours through MSE :T:T
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Yes I tried doing a search yesterday but came up with nothing. I am wondering if it has to be a receipt dated from today or can I put one in from a few days ago. I've got a receipt for £60 odd which won't produce an APG but I am wondering if it will at least produce a £5 voucher.

Morning all:) I like Mondays. Start of a new week, things to do, things to achieve etc etc:cool:

Off to Mr T shortly to do a small shop for fresh stuff for tea tonight.
No particular bargains to look out for but I've printed off a couple more reloaded vouchers. Just hope someone in the family likes this stuff when the stash is released:rotfl:

Must remember to look out for nutrigrain biscuits for David.:)

    Catch you later

I like achieving things Artha , but more in a slower old fashioned way and preferably on a Tuesday .

My chore today is painting (or making it look like I've started) the bathroom ,some kind soul fixed the wall whilst we were away and now it's all ready to be finished off .
I think I'll have to have a sit down and a cuppa first as my heart is racing with excitement .

Polly put the kettle on .
