Somebody mentioned earlier when I was playing catch up about their printer being out of ink/black.
Well I bought a chip resetter off ebay last week along with bottles of ink and a continuous ink system.
The resetter has reset my black cartridge twice now when the epson program has said it has ran out so it must have decided the cartridge was empty at about 40%-50% used.
I did have a moan on here last week about it as I could literally hear the ink swilling about inside.
So have a few used cartridges here that will actually be being used up.
Might help some as was only about £8ish

    David.
Thanks for this - I think I will try this as I have continuing problems with a Dell that tells me it is out when using compatibles. Do I just search for a chip resetter?
    Many thanks
    :)
Smile :) and hopefully the world will smile back

We had a new boiler fitted with a wireless controller, no way could I programme it. The numbers were too small, and there was only about 30 seconds in which to do it, far too quick for me. I had to get DD round to do it for me! A real pain especially when the clocks changed etc. Eventually I gave up and got an electrician to wire it up to a normal controller, cost me £60, but so worth it.

Our previous controllers we programmed to come on in morning and evening, I could change the time and duration no problem. This one if you want it timed has to come on and go off 3 times a day or stay on all day as this is how it was set up by installer and you can't change it. Neither are good for us as we work full time. We want to set it to come on in morning and evening and then just be able to press a button for it to come on when we need outside of that. You have to set each day separately, set the temperature for each day, and have it coming on 3 times which we don't need.

To turn the heating on say right now I have to increase the temperature on the controller and then press boost which means it comes on for an hour then goes off - hardly ideal.

Would we have to have the boiler and thermostat changed if we wanted the controller changed?

    Morning all

Hope auntielala is ok, can't see that its anyones birthday but if I missed it happy birthday

Hubby made me laugh this morning, I sent him to mr A's to buy 2 cooked chickens and he comes back with 2 cooked chickens, a white mouse, a flump and a bag of tangtastics I asked him why he bought the sweets and he told me " well if I buy the swets don't I get the chickens for nearly free? Everytime you go you get them and that's what happens" bless him

Ok off to watch the F1 I recorded from 5.30 this morning as I slept through the alarm
It's the thought that counts.......I think a lot!

  • Good morning all - lovely and sunny here.

Sorry to here about Auntielala - hope she is OK.

Good luck to Laura Cello, a braver girl than me, don't think my knees would thank me for running that far anyway!

Not sure about reading back, going to start on it and see what happens!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
