Dearest mwc
Assuming that the Faroes didn't go claim yours & Mrmwc's heart, and you've upped sticks and moved there permanently  May I ask a pom-pom related question?
Do you have any fool-proof hacks on how to 'tie' the centre, without all the 'pom' bits escaping? I'm using acrylic yarn, so it can stand a bit of tightening, but it still relaxes slightly as I'm knot tying or trying to secure it. I am using a pom-pom 'maker' one of those plastic, 2 halves, clippy jobs - if that has any bearing.

Hello Greying
The Faroe Islands were stunningly beautiful - I wish I could share photos easily. After spending 1.5 weeks in Canada with my aunt and Mr MWC, I’m currently in the USA on business.
I’ve never had any problems using acrylic yarn to make pom-poms but then I only make little pom-poms and I never got around to using my plastic pom-pom maker (I use the cardboard from cereal packets and draw round a 10 pence coin with a little hole in the middle). I only knot the yarn a couple of times.
Will try to catch up soon but must get to bed now as I’ve got a 7 o’clock breakfast meeting...

This is great motivation! Good luck to you. You have inspired me to make a proper plan and pay more attention to saving and our mortgage options. We are looking to move house in the next few years and I'd love to save as much as possible before then. I am 35 and have 2 children (one at school, one at home with me).1

Hello
Sorry for being a stranger... what have I missed?
Financially 2019 & 2020 were good to us: our net worth (equity in house/pensions/S&S ISAs/FTSE100 shares/cash savings) has increased by 40% and the value of Mr MWC's share options has skyrocketed
And today we paid off the mortgage - 7 years and 3 month early
Now I'm looking forward to early retirement!
