  • Mr MWC is home - briefly - the lucky so-and-so has a free ticket for the rugby in Cardiff on Sunday (and a hotel room for tomorrow night) and then he's off on a 4-day business trip on Monday morning. I'll need to go back to work on Monday for the company!

Do you fancy a visitor for dinner? I'm sure we can find a pub?

  • Getting there Tilly. Still numb and now the temporary filling is falling out...

I've prepped and frozen some more apple slices - plenty of apples left though so I may bake a cake or two later :)

  • A fairly lazy day today :)

    - walked to the farmer's market in town - buying a celeriac with leaves on made me happy (I know, I'm a weirdo!)

    - popped to the garden centre to buy discounted autumn lawn treatment, nearly got out without buying anything else but was tempted by 8 swede seedlings reduced to 50p

    - picked a bowlful of raspberries

    - used a few more apples (and store cupboard ingredients) by baking a sticky apple & gingerbread pecan loaf cake and an apple & spice tealoaf

Just had a slice of the first cake for QC purposes - very disappointing, I won't be using that recipe again :(
