  • Apparently grade and salary discussions with HR aren't going as well as boss had hoped... :(

Never mind, at least I have a job :)

I should have checked the weather forecast before I packed - cold and raining heavily, chance of snow  Today's outfit includes white linen trousers and sandals :rotfl:

Miss Gladys and/or Miss Beryl (Mr MWC can't tell the difference!) keeps escaping from the chicken run into the vegetable garden  At the moment she's happy digging in the bark but how long before she discovers that there are tasty things growing in the raised beds... fortification required when I get home.

  • Toes are fine Hbbb - I've just painted my toenails mint green :D

Greying - dinner last night was balsamic marinated tofu, potato & pea puree, sauteed mushrooms, chargrilled asparagus and a roasted red pepper vinaigrette - it was lush. I should have taken a photo! 3 slices of tofu on a generous smear of puree, vinaigrette was more of a sauce consistency and drizzled on the tofu, asparagus tips were artfully balanced on tofu, mushrooms were just on the plate not doing anything fancy :rotfl:

  • There's obviously been a dearth of nominations for our inaugural department excellence awards as a reminder has been sent out and the VP has even said that self nominations are acceptable.

It just feels wrong diddly wrong wrong to nominate myself but there is a cash prize up for grabs...
I will nominate myself in the category of Exceptional Delivery; however, I'll do it as a joint nomination with a couple of US-based colleagues who contributed to the project :)

    We won :j:j:j
