Making chicken feed of my mortgage
Comments
-
I've mixed up a bucketful of chicken treat this morning:
1 x 2kg mixed wild bird seed £2
1 x 500g black sunflower seeds 99p
1 x 400g sunflower hearts 99p
2 x 100g dried mealworms 99p/each
1 x 1kg mixed corn approx. 80p
That should last them several weeks.
This week they also have 2 bags of spinach (£1.35/each), a couple of round lettuce (60p/each), alpine strawberries from the garden and hopefully I'll be able to get them some cheap melon midweek
We spent £56 in town this morning which is more than I had hoped but did include the above, £9.50 on toiletries/anti-histamines, £7.50 on fish, £4 on chaunsa mangoes and a bunch of pink asters (£1.80). If I'd stuck to the list I reckon it would have been just under £40...Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Sunday evening until Tuesday evening - Mr MWC away
Monday afternoon until Wednesday evening - MWC away
Wednesday morning until late Thursday evening - Mr MWC away
He's also away Monday and Tuesday this week - it's lucky that most of my business trips are local this month otherwise I'd forget what he looks like!
I should be able to stick to my grocery budget though :rotfl:
