200g good plain chocolate
200g unsalted butter, at room temperature
400g golden caster sugar
5 large eggs
110g plain flour, sieved
400g cream cheese, at room temperature
1tsp vanilla extract
salt
raspberries or cherries
A 4cm deep baking tin measuring 30 x 20cm lined with baking parchment
Pre-heat oven to 170C, gas mark 3
Melt chocolate, leave to cool slightly
Cream butter and 250g of the sugar, then beat in 3 of the eggs
Stir in melted chocolate
Fold in flour and a pinch of salt
Spread 3/4 of this mixture in an even layer over the bottom of the tin
In a clean bowl, mix the cream cheese, 2 eggs, 150g sugar and vanilla extract and beat until smooth
Spread this mixture over the chocolate
Dollop the remaining chocolate mixture on top
Swirl the batters together with a round-ended knife to create a marbled effect
Tap the tin sharply on the work surface to level the mixture
Push in 20 raspberries or cherries
Bake on the middle shelf for 50-55 minutes until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out with a moist crumb
Cool before cutting into squaresMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Eggs IN 14 (8 yesterday, 6 today)
Eggs OUT 8 (cheesecake - 5, cheese & pickle bread - 2, Mr MWC's clumsiness - 1 - he squished it in his pocket :rotfl:)
I've nearly finished revamping the ottoman, I'm waiting for the second coat of paint to dry before putting the lid back on. I haven't done a great job re-upholstering the top (I'd forgotten how rubbish my staple gun is) but it will do
Mr MWC did a good job on the privet hedge :T £75 well spent on the hedgetrimmer - the top of the hedge is much less wonky than when he does it with shears :rotfl:

. What I'd REALLY like is a nail gun. But I wouldn't trust mystelf with it, let alone anyone else :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Good morning
The wool carpet sample made Mr MWC itchyso today I will be ordering the man-made carpet - not as nice but £450 cheaper
I've been using the skincare I bought in SF for a month now and I'm quite pleased with the results - not sure that any of the products are desert island must-haves though...
There is 1 product that I make sure that I never run out of - Liz Earle Superskin Bust & Neck Treatment

Morning MWC:j
Thank you for posting the brownie recipe!
Please tell Mr MWC that I too purchased cordless hedge trimmers....so much easier to use. Perhaps we have the same ones (mine's have 2 batteries)?
Glad the ginger beer was a success, however shame about the itchy wool carpet....still £450 saving is very, very good.
With regards to skincare, my purchase decision is dependant upon special offer, however I never, ever buy cheap mascara. My favourite make-up is bobby brown, closely followed by benefit.February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
