£21 a month including line rental, calls and broadband. About eight months left on contract.
    It's someone else's fault.

if it's this package, it's on offer cheaper, and you can save another £5 per month by paying line rental in advance.

worth a phone call imo, if only for a free router.

Told you I was a numpty, I just realized I've still got my old D-Link router with four ports that I originally used before changing address. I'll dig it out and give it a go.

Remember to switch off DHCP first on the D-link router so it just functions as a switch and nothing more.

  • I'm pretty sure there are extensions you can purchase on Ebay that allow you to put one ethernet cable in, and extends out to 4 ethernet plugs...

Check out ebay they may/may not have it, though i'm sure i saw it.

Unless the D-Link is replacing the 2-port router, not just being used as a switch.

I have a multi-port Ethernet switch attached to my Sky router.
    It works fine.
