Virgin megabites

How can I tell if I am getting the 30 mb's in my area that I am paying for from Virgin?
I have recently upgraded but it doesn't seem any different.

I would be very wary of using that tester on higher speed BB links. Many of these speed testers do not download large enough files for long enough to get an accurate reading on a fibre link.
Speedtest.net gives me a speed of 8 - 9 mbs on my Infinity which is one eighth of what I am actually getting.

After trying a LOT of these testers, I would recommend:

This can be set to automatically run tests at what ever interval you select. It will also produce detailed graphs of performance.

This:

gives figures that correlate with the other tester I have mentioned.

Another way to accurately test your speed is to download a file from here:
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html

You can time it and do the arithmetic yourself or the site gives you an fair indication of times against speeds.
