Help single mum to be at home with my mum and brother who has schizophrenia and baby!

my marriage failed in 2009 and I moved out 2010 with not a penny. We stayed friends and since his parents paid the deposit on the house even though I paid bills. I probably should have kept something.


I then met someone else and we lived together but for various reasons did not work out. I do not want to mention.

I always worked, never claimed benefits but now I am pregnant and live with my mum and my 28 year old brother who is schizoprenic but on medication. He is constantly smoking in his room and it stinks the upstairs which is tiny and hardly room to swing a cat and the smoke drifts into my room which is a box room so the baby and I will have to stay in that room when she arrives, she is due in February. he never does anything around the house and quite frankly he is no threat at the moment but he does take a lot of medication and every now and again he looks blank and with his condition not sure about staying there!! plus how much priority am I

My mum does everything for him which is wrong as he never learns. I mean he is now working and earning a good wage but does not even buy toliet paper or anything hardly it is ridiculous. Its all making me upset with my brother and the way he is. I never thought he would end up like this. He barely talks and just goes to his room, does not have any friends and forget girls dont know how he does it!!

I want to move on but have no money since I am flight attendent and don't get full pay when pregnant and owe money to them so they takwe 200 out of my salary every month!! we get 15 day to go to work I can hardly pay for petrol. I need to apply to local council something I am not happy about. How do I go about it? I got paperwork and stuff and they sent me a letter to get moving and get on and do it.

or would you stay at home in my situation? Also, when maternity pay kicks in am I entitled to any benefits or anything? until I go back to work. I cant see us styaing there when baby is older like 1 because she will need her own room and my mum house is a small council house and a box room since my mum and brother have the bigger rooms.
