Please don't continue to doctor a complete dog food with plain human meat, dogs need a balance of nutrients not an excess of protein. If you wish to supplement a dry food use a complete wet dog food or RAW chicken portions with the bones and skin still included. The bones are important for minerals and will help clean his teeth but always supervise.
I wouldn't feed any dog human meat. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Wonder where you'd buy that!0 -
Lots of toys and little treats for you to hide if you leave him on his own, this will stop him eating the furniture!! Don't let him sleep on the bed - I had to buy a single bed for my poor rescued Dane puppy, she cried so much i let her into bed and believe me there is room for a human once the dog is fully grown.0

Stinkiness can be because he is not neutered, down to poor quality diet, a health problem, natural or a combination. Do not bathe him in any shampoo containing sulphate surfactants, they are horrible for skin and hair and damage the skin flora (good bacteria) which help to keep the stink causing microorganisms under control. Clicker training is well worth doing - loads of 'how to' videos on YouTube. Furminators are indeed amazing.
We've booked him in to be neutered. He is being professionally groomed tomorrow morning, he has some matted bits, hopefully once he's done we can then keep him in tip top condition.
Furminator or Mikki Rake?
I'll have a look at clicker training.0 -
Be sure to get him microchipped when he is neutered, it's peace of mind for you if he gets lost or stolen. A neutered dog is less likely to get stolen too, obviously no use as a stud.

He's 10 months old, still a baby in giant breed terms.
He needs another 10 months minimum to fully mature before even thinking about having him done.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
I second not neutering him yet. In large breeds it can cause a lot of problems if done too early.0
