Try not to worry, if baby is growing well its a really good sign. I bled throughout my 1st pregnancy (right up to labour in fact), he's now a boisterous and lively 5 year old. It can be ok xxx

(and my next pregnancy was textbook perfect, so it doesnt mean that youd have to go through this again either!)

We are all rooting for you Tinks. I know its so hard not to worry, but try to look at the positives of the growth of the baby and seeing the heartbeat etc. Hows the crafting going? xx

  • I bled every month when my period would have been due right upto 5 months, heavy bleeding and clotting and each time I was convinced the worst had happened. The scans showed a haematoma right next to the babys head. I had scans every time and luckily the baby was fine-hes now 8 weeks and snoring away on the sofa next to me! Its impossible not to worry but bleeding is more common than we realise-unfortunately! Sending best wishes and fingers crossed it stops soon!xx

I bled heavily every day for the whole 9 months with both of my pregnancies. The only way I knew I was pregnant was because my period didn't stop! I was monitored and scanned regular throughout both pregnancies but they never did find out where the bleeding was coming from. I had two very healthy babies by normal deliveries, one at 40wks and one at 42wks. They are 13yrs and 10yrs next month.

Both pregnancies where awful with the 'not knowing' and my husband refused to go through it all again and went for the snip straight after baby no 2 was born!!

Bleeding during pregnancy it quite common and I have several friends that have had bleeds during their pregnancies and have gone on to have healthy babies.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

    HI

I had bleeding with my second baby at 8 weeks 12 and again at 14 weeks everything was fine and mine was put down to a cervical ersosion.

I think bleeding in early pregnancy can be quite common for a multitude of reasons.

The main thing is that your scans have shown that the baby is fine so that is a positive.

I had bleeding /clots throughout my first trimester and each time thought that this is it i'm having a mc. I now have an 8 week old who is healthy. I think I ended up having 3 or 4 scans due to bleeding and each time she was fine. My friend had bleeding until she went on maternity leave and her baby was born 2 weeks after his due date so its not always sinister. The best thing you can do is to try not to worry - easier said than done I know but you need to try. I think I spent my first trimester telling myself that everything was ok and constantly on the phone to the epsu for advice and support. Your baby is growing well and whenever you are worried dont be afraid to contact your hospital for support (I say this as I constantly felt that they would think I was a neurotic paranoid polly as I had been trying for this baby for so long)

I really hope it settles down and you can enjoy your pregnancy
