Yes, Dependsing on what package you chose they charge for the 2nd year in advance in 3, 6 or 12 monthly incriments.

My Software bundle arrived yesterday too

Gonna go for this but cant decide which package to get.

I notice that some people have been charged just £5.94 - are you charged for next years service now or in advance at the end of this years service?

GJChester - I notice you went for a higher package - do mind me asking how much you have been charged? What extra software did you get?

You are charged £1 for the 1st years service, and £3.99 for the software to be posted to you. On top of that you get charged VAT at 19% (German vat rate) making the £5.94

In 12 months time you'll be charged for the following year, the easy level is charged for a year at a time, power and advanced charged 6 months at a time and enterprise charges you 3 months at a time.

I went for the advanced web, a I wanted to get UltraEdit32 as well as Elements, Ultra edit is £25 or so to buy and only available in advanced or enterprise.

And I fully intend to close the account before being charged more...

Many thanks for all that - I'm pretty new to web-hosting but do you know if the data traffic limit is on a monthly basis?

    Traffic is per month.

Coppermine Gallery won't install on strato (they have safe mode on), so if anyone is using some freeware gallery software and it installs let me know.

I bought the Powerweb package for £1.00 on Tuesday evening, it was set up on the Wednesday morning and today, just 5 minutes ago, I received the CDs direct from Berlin! Very fast!

One package contains two CDs, Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Adobe GoLive CS2, both with full valid serial numbers on the CD envelopes. The other CD package contains one disc which holds various utilities such as IE, Firefox, and FTP program, Thumbnail viewer, OpenOffice and so on.

So far, I'd certainly recommend this deal and I really have to give a big thanks to the OP for posting.

    Thanks!

    Michael.

Hi,I'm very tempted to go for this offer but is there an option to have your domain registrant details kept private with this company?
I've just taken a look at a domain that has been registered within this thread and all the registrants details are there to see.
Has anyone else that has got this offer got their registrant details on private?

This offer is now scheduled to end 31/05/07 so is still active. Perhaps a mod can move this out of the "Gone, but was it any good?" forum.
