I find their 'Otto' cat litter very good. It's the best value 'clumping' type I've come across at £1.69 for a 10KG bag. A bag lasts us a couple of weeks (with just the one cat).0

" every now and then they have large bags of basmati rice for £7.99. "
Tesco does a bag for £4.99.0 -
my MIL's toilet got blocked and she had to call Dynorod or someone. When they came out they unblocked it and charged about £90
The man said it was the Lidl toilet roll she'd been using, apparently it doesn't dissolve and hence is more likely to block the loo. I don;t know how many types of loo roll they do but it worked out expensive for her!!
What nonsense! I buy Lidl's loo paper (all the types!) and have a septic tank. I have never had a problem with their loo roll...
I expect Dynorod had to say SOMETHING to justify their fee!:rotfl:0 -
why can't they have baskets, they don't cost that much to manufacture surely, and if it's case that they get stolen then implement a £1 deposit scheme on them like you would with a trolley.
They have baskets in one of the stores in Cardiff:j The one near Maindy Stadium0 -
nappies are great, cheap and just as good as pampers or any other brand (with twins the cost reduction is ace!), also echo the jaffa cakes, chocolates are great. own yoghurts, sausages (have gd meat percentage in them), belgium waffles (59p compared to tesco £1), packs of 10 individually wrapped croissants with chocolate go down well with kids and me, dairylea equivalent also.
Most things in general we've liked!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -
The extremely dark chocolate, the vegetables that are on offer each week for pennies and the super cheap tinned salmon! 1.45 for a 400g tin last time I went in
The offers are always fantastic, especially when they have brand goods on offer, I once got 6 tins of john west tuna for 2.50.
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
