I am not especially a fan of Lidl and could never do my whole shop there, don't you find that many of their products are no cheaper (and sometimes more expensive) than supermarket own brand or value ranges? I love Lidl jam however and go there specially to get it, but had a really bad experience finding bone in their sandwich ham.
Their own brand mineral water tastes peculiar I think.0 -
If you don't like the dishwasher tablets spend a bit more and get the premium ones - they are brilliant and only about £2.50. I also stock up on fizzy water, fruit juices and olive oil. The breaded camembert or mozzarella is also good (find it in the frozen aisle) as is the Q10 anti age hand cream.

I like the cartons of Ice Tea, Bacon has always been nice especially the medallions.
The other thing of note is the small cans of iced coffee style drinks (red bull sized cans) they are quite nice and have a massive amount of caffeine in them, almost twice as strong red bull! Nice pick you up in the morning while shopping!
The beer is ok, but for gods sake dont be tempted to try the stuff thats like a shandy made with cola instead of lemonade! Its awful! Cant remember what it was called, Maxx or something like that.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
I love Lidl -- it is so quirky - Caviar next to 300 pairs of size 7 socks. I recently bought the sewing machine for just over £30 and its gr8. I can not get on with the coffeee or Lidl's tea though.0

I'll second both of those; the tiramisu is the best of any supermarket I've tried (and I did extensive research into the subject;) ) and the Belgian seashells are nicer than the 'real thing'.0 -
