I have fallen for it when I got a similar message on ebay when selling a TomTom by a Chinese scammer couple of months ago:

I browsed the site, prices looked cheap, added him on msn and had a long chat, I agreed to purchased from him and he gave me an invoice and informed me I might have to pay customs and VAT - I was convinced and transferred around £1,500 to his bank account details below:

BANK'S NAME: BANK OF CHINA
BANK'S ADD: No.8 YaBao Road, ChaoYang District, Beijing

receiver's name: Fubo Gong (Fubo is the first name, Gong is Last Name)
ACCOUNT NO: 4082100-0188-004659-7

After he confirmed he received the payment he assured me I will receive the goods in 5 working days and ever since he is ignoring me on msn, even though he is online right NOW and scamming others I CANT BLOODY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

I contacted Bank of China in Beijing, British Embassy in Beijing and Chinese Embassy in London who suggested me to engage in a professional legal services company which I did but no luck, well I have learnt my lesson the hard way.

I thought of sharing this as I wouldn't want anyone innocent or idiot like me to fall for it.

Thats insane. Im completely speechless for once!!

I cannot get my head around these sort of scams... how people will sed £1500 to someone theyve never met before in a foreign country... its just madness!

The sad thing is though that while you guys are having a laugh with him, hes probably speaking to 10 other people at the same time. Successfully ripping them off. So in a way he gets the last laugh!

At least his time is being wasted so he can't scam so many others. It's a public service, this!

....if the seller is prepared to source a one armed green monkey... then hes probably a scammer!
