CUE will cover claims (and I think insurance), DVLA will do points

CUE will list some claims, MID will confirm whether a particular vehicle is insured (with certain exceptions)

The DVLA can confirm driving convictions, but only with the permission of the license holder.

I'm interested in this supposed database which can do all of the above, AND confirm whether a particular individual has a policy of their own?

    :rotfl:Haha!

It's just that I've heard lots of people give advice on here, often unqualified (and I mean that in the sense of an unqualified statement; not the individual) referencing shared databases that hold all sorts of information.

The truth is that insurers' fraud staff would love to have access to such things, but what does exist is much more limited than is often suggested on here and in other forums.
