Help!!

Options
Daughter has just spilled tea on her laptop.

Currently holding it upside down and trying to wipe the liquid away.

It's still on at the moment.

Any tips?

keep it upside down to make sure nothing stays in the keyboard. If possible remove the keyboard or just the keys and wash them and let the laptop dry out.

Ok, it's malfunctioning - screen's flickering and can't access shutdown.

Force quit by holding on button?

Ok, off now and battery removed.
It's a brand new 8109. Can I remove the keyboard?

Sorry - Acer 8109. I have PC world insurance and household insurance (I hope it covers).

The household insurance should cover providing it doesnt have a specific exclusion, which some of them do now! Hope you manage to get it sorted

If it had sugar in, I'd take it to pieces, and mop up any spillage with a damp cloth, before it dries, otherwise the keyboard may end up very sticky.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?
