The red 'x' button on MSE

Hi
We now have this splendid red 'x' button on comping threads for comps we don't want to enter.
At present you have to go into the post to tick the 'x', if it's possible, would it make more sense to have it before you open the post, so you don't need to go into it?
Apologies if this has already been discussed.
Thanks.
Sunny

Yes I agree completely
it would be much better if you could just click the X without opening the whole post, It would help save a lot of time to click it on comps that you dont want to enter so you can just ignore them once you've 'X'd them
IYSWIMBig Thanks to all who post on the comps board0 -
It would indeed make more sense
I just need to get used to using it more as it's really useful and don't want the powers that be thinking not enougfh folk are using it & getting rid!Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Another one here that agrees also, cant see the point in actually opening the post to click the 'x'0

to be honest i dont use the x as most of the time i can tell by the comp title if its a prize i dont want to enter for, so the suggestion by the OP has my support xLogic will get you from A to B but imagination can take you anywhere!
Being honest may not get get you a lot of friends - but it will get you the right ones.

I completely agree! It seems pointless having to go into the post to do that.
Good thinking, Sunny Saver x0 -

I agree too, but I wonder if this thread is the best place to post it. Isn't there somewhere that we can make suggestions to MSE towers for improving things? Not sure where though.0

I agree Sunny Saver :A if we could just click the red X as we're going through our posts from the front page without opening the post, (and it doesn't matter if you're an end date comper or a back-to-front comper like me, or any other kind of comper), we would also know where we were at any given time cos we'd have a load of green ticks or red X's :money:#StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0
