I agreed initially, but then remembered I'd still have to click into the thread to "thank" and can't really see a way around that?
Personally, I only thank the comps that I actually enter. I suppose that is a throw back to when we didn't have a green tick and thanking the post is the only way that I knew I had entered.
Do you always "thank" every post on the forum, even if you haven't entered? Most people don't, which is why some comps have say 700 thanks and some only have 50.0 -

I'm the same.:o I only thank the posts that I've entered because it's how I used to keep track before we had the "enter" button and it became a habit.:o2019 Wins

Same here, I only thank the ones I enter. To thank every one would take hours to open every single comp post especially as there are now at least 17 pages of them per day
It's hard enough to keep up with everything
I also agree about the x, would be good on the main thread so you can click and goA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0 -
I agree with having it on the main thread too, or at least having it visible on the main thread board like the green tick otherwise I cant understand what use it has?:hello:"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing it doesn't go in a fruit salad0

It is already visible on the main board, once it has been pressed on the thread, it is just that you cannot click on it there.0 -

Yes, I thank every thread that I open where a competition is posted, fair enough if it's not an issue for most. I admit I have only recently started to do this, because before the green tick and red cross I just hovered over the thread title to see if I wanted to enter but now I go in to them all to give them either a tick or a cross I just hit thanks while I'm in there. I find that even doing that takes less time as before I was a bit funny when it came to checking I'd looked at every thread on every page and having a full page of red or green makes it a lot easier to move on.
Hmm, I sound pretty neurotic, that's what comping has done to me! :rotfl:0
