I think I will try Boots. I will have to get my Husband razors. Can I carry aerosol deodorants through or will I have to purchase these in Boots too? Thanks
You can carry aerosols of up to 100ml - everything has to fit into the 20 x 20cm bag you get at the airport. If I remember you are allowed one bag each.
If it's bigger than 100ml you'll have to buy it when you get through security.0 -
Might not be what you're looking for but last spring I has a fantastic week at the Longevity Wellness Resort near Monchique. The hotel was lovely, each room is a very comfortable apartment and there were activities every day. Its in a lovely area in the hills but still only 20 minutes drive from the coast.0

Olhão is a really nice area, and the Real Marina hotel is fab!
It might be expensive in the summer, but off season my sister always gets really great deals.Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -
Fondue,Apologies for the delay in responding,if the Brisa Sol is your choice i would say a package we have looked at both ways and we think there is very little in it,the trip from the airport is costly in a taxi,a very good decision0

My Sister has given me some sealable plastic bags. However, around the middle they have three white stripes. Will they be ok for carrying shampoos and stuff? Thanks0

As long as they're the right size and the rest of the bag is transparent there shouldn't be a problem. Make sure all the liquids are in 100ml containers or less.Normal people worry me.0

yes and you don't need to buy suntan lotion after security - just buy some clear empty bottles from poundshop. primark etc and decant your suntan lotion, shampoo etc into them0

back to the algarve, got cheap flights with easyjet, and been looking for a hotel, just managed to get 10 nights s/c 1 bed apt, with air con, for £437, staying at the 4* forte do vale, booked through monarch.0

sorry to drag up an old thread, just to thank those that posted recommendations for Brisa Sol.
Have just booked for July (we are taking grandson (age 6) away for 5 nights)
Flights with Avios booked months ago and cost £27 each (EDI-LGW-FAO return)
Brisa Sol booked through Thomas Cook (used Vivago to compare) with 11% back on Quidco
Scheduled flights, no baggage/check in charges and one-bedroom pool view apartment for under £220 each during school hols in July was a pretty good deal....just need to decide on car hire v's transfers now
Going to be a bit of a shock for us as we usually travel off season (cost) and will not be used to lots of kids around0
