No...as their tyres are not part worn...these ones I bought are...
Either way, new or used, the tyre is completely damaged by driving it when flat. Surely you must have realized that the tyre was punctured when driving."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"

I understand that.My point is you drove on some tyres and then say they are punctured. It could have happened when you drove on them as easily as them being punctured before you got them, having now used them, and admitting you have used them, you cannot prove they were faulty before you got them.No...as their tyres are not part worn...these ones I bought are...Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -

And there lies the dilemma...which is why I asked for advice!
No...I didn't notice it was flat either...which is weird. And I still would have had to drive it on to the hard shoulder of the motorway even if I had noticed!0 -
Kwik fit wouldnt do anything. National try do a tyre guru tee where they would have replaced the tyreYes, I think you would, since the tyre would be obviously faulty and/or not fit for purpose. It should probably last a bit longer than that.Needing to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -

Well no, you could have pulled over onto the hard shoulder, put the spare wheel on which - face it - is exactly what it's for, and then driven straight to a garage to get the puncture mended. This may or may not have prevented irrepearable damage to the tyre.
Or called a breakdown service if you have one.
You didn't actually have to drive on it as soon as you noticed it was flat (and, having driven on a puncture on the motorway before, I can tell that you'd notice this pretty quickly that something wasn't right). Hard shoulders are exactly for this kind of incident.
Either way, I think the point is, once anyone drives even as little as a 100 yards up the road on any sort of newly fitted tyre - be it new or part worn - they cannot possibly say for certain that a puncture was not caused by their driving over somethng rather than a fault with the supplied goods.
With that in mind I think the offer from the seller is a fairly fair one and I'd be inclined to cut your losses, minimise your hassle and take it."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
Well thanks for all the replies...some useful...some not so useful!
Just for info...I didn't pull over on the hard shoulder as I didn't know the tyre was flat...I didn't even know anything was wrong until someone at work saw it in the carpark flat...I am not that stupid thanks!
Any way...my seller has refunded my money...with my complete gratitude.0
