hi everybody, sorry i new to all of this!
Basically we have been with 3 mobile internet for quite some years, back in june/july of 2010 we signed a 24 month contract. We are now getting virgin media after we have sorted money issues ect out, only to look on out online bill and it says were in another 24month contract. when the contract ended in june/july of this year we were not contacted to ask if we wanted to carry on with our contract.
i was just wondering, are they allowed to do this?
we have emailed them today, as i want all contact to be in writing so i have proof of whats been said.
many thanks for looks, and many many thanks for the replys

Hi there,
3 must have sent a notification/message to get the plan renewed. Otherwise, these are contracts and should expire unless renewed by you. I suggest you to talk to 3 about it. And definitely keep the writing proof..0 -
we didnt have any contact from them no letters, emails, nothing.
i just assumed they would put us onto a monthly plan until we contacted them or them us, will keep onto them and see what happens.
thanks for the reply0 -
The contract never 'expires' unless you give 30 days notice. Once the minimum term ends, you should be on 30 days notice.
What do your T&C's say about auto-renewal? What tariff are you on?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
im not sure on T&C as we have been with them since june 2008 and id need to hunt down the paper work. we get 15gb a month for £15/16 pm. but as were getting virgin now we no longer need to use 3.
i know i wouldnt expire unless we told them, but i just wanted to know weather they were allowed to put us back into a 24m contract unless we said yes or no.0 -
Only if the T&C's say so, so yes you really need to look at the contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Would have to agree with macman, check out your T&Cs and see if they auto renew (much like a lot of car insurance firms) If you can't find them i would guess you could get them by request or on there official website.
I would assume however they should notify you first!0
