86 people have applied and voted so far. At this stage, 46 MSE'ers will benefit from 18-months interest free money. If an average limit of £5,000 is assumed (this might be a bit low, let me know what you think, or let's see how the other poll does) it works out at £230,000 added to the national debt. If all this is stoozed at 5% it would be over £15,000 interest. :) Thank you for the free money MSE.

I'll write a summary and finish soon. Any final votes?

not only did i get my card through today but they sent me out another credit agreement for another platinum 18 month card.

i phoned up ( as i need to anyway to get card activated) and asked if they took it as 2 applications, they just said tear it up.. didnt answer my question so was put through to someone else who also couldnt answer my question apart from tear it up.

important really as it may look bad on my credit history, applying for 2 cards in 1 week.

    oh and limit of £12,500

I applied via Martin's link, got the 14 day message and have been accepted - am waiting for my credit limit.

My Mum applied by post, got accepted for 18 months with a £8000 credit limit.

My partner applied via post but was only offered 6 months with a £5000 credit limit, which is being 'politely' declined! (BTW she earns over double what I earn, owns our £400k flat outright and has minimal debts - go figure)

Interestingly, after the above had all taken place, both my partner & I received mailshots from Capital One saying we had been pre-approved for their 6 month card, with a credit limit of between £250 and £2500! Whoop de do!
    Never knowingly overpaid.
  • Receive a post yesterday, it has in no where telling me anything about this period thing. But I've been approved with a visa card for people with bad credit history. What have you got? Visa or no hussel master? What's your APR and monthly rate? Thx

Sent my application on 6th April and received the card with 18 months BT today! Credit limit only £5900, but only wanted to transfer £2000. Got my card before other half has got his, even though he's been accepted and sent the credit agreement off. Whoopee! Thanks to all!
  • Received my 18 month card yesterday with a limit of nearly £25,000.

The monthly minimum payment of nearly £750 sounds a bit frightening though!!

I wish my repayments were that high.

I would like to know what the "Other" results are? One seems to be being accepted for a "bad credit history" card. Any others? PM me for me to post if you want it to be "more" anonymous.

    101 votes so far :)

I was accepted immediately after filling in the online application. Received my card yesterday with a £16k limit. Just waiting for my Egg application to go through so I can SBT it onto my One account. (I know I should've got the Egg application in 1st, but I'm still pretty new at this lark).
Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
    Should OF, would OF
. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.

I'm gutted!!! I sent off a postal application requesting 2 b/t from cards coming to the end of their interest free periods (and sent out several spare application forms to other people on here) and have just received my credit agreement for a 6 MONTHS CARD grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! They haven't even given me a high enough credit limit to cover 1 of the requested balance transfers never mind 2, I was offered a miserly £3k limit.

    Is it worth appealing??
  • also got my card through today - I've stoozed for about a year and got average limits of £3000 - cap one have given me £11000 free for 18 months so its happy days (and I thought my stoozing was almost finished) - thanks to martin thats another £750 ish in the bin - boy I love this site.
Btw I also got a 2nd credit agreement in the post - very strange - have torn it up as an error.
