Sky Movies New Format

i have set up a poll on this subject.

but its generally about the new sky movies format.as a long standing user of sky and there movies im not to impressed with there new movie format. as basically i have lost two channels over the weekend as they have converted sky movies 1 & 2 to sky movies premier and premier+1 and its basically going to show 1 film all week on these two channels

and the way the rest of the channels are set up is a disgrace. at least you used to have a good choice of what you wanted to watch at 8.00pm/9.00pm/10.00pm throughtout the 10 movie channels now i have a choice of 1 action film at either 8 or 10.and the same for the other categories they have introduced.

this is just another blatant attempt from sky to control what you watch as if you want to watch a good film you will more than likely now have to switch to pay per view movies..

I think this should be one for martin to take up on behalf of his mse members that are sky subscribers. and moderators if you feel this is the worng section please fell free to move to the appropriate board

Im quite happy with the way it is, the only thing that Im not as keen on is the having to put a PIN number in when you want to watch a rated film before 9pm, I keep the PIN number to myself - the parental lock in my house means I only know it and can lock programmes and the parents dont know it and have to ask me when they want to buy stuff - otherwise they would be accidently running bills up!

There are so many channels to watch on Sky that I dont mind whats on when, we have Sky + so can tape 2 programmes at once anyway

I was quite chuffed. It seemed to me that the films that were on were much better. But I suppose you and I might have different taste in films. Just goes to show, you can't please all the people, all the time.
  • Also a lot of the decent films are on Sky Movies HD and not on any of the other channels

I think it's rubbish, as Lapat says we've lost one of the channels as it's now changed to +1. Also some of them (3 or 4 of them, I think) say "programs start at 4pm/6pm/whatever. Add up the hours that we've lost - what a rip-off. We're cancelling the films for now, we'll probably cancel the lot soon and switch to Virgin - there's a rumour that programs like Lost and 24 will be available on Virgin soon. The only reason we're still with Sky is I refuse to lose these shows LOL.

I don;t think it is any better or any worse than the previous means .. it is just different. I still flick through 300 odd channels complaining there is nothing to watch :D

Know what you mean Ivan, thought there would always be something I wanted to watch!

We are quite happy with Sky at the moment as we have a good deal, less than £25 for all 6 mixes, plus movies premium channels and Sky +
