Not sure where to post this, but hoping there are some knowledgeable parents out there....
In true MSE style I decided to try and mend a pair of boots rather than throw them away.
I have now managed to superglue my trousers to my leg....
What do I do?!
I am stuck in them, literally! I really don't want to have to cut myself out of them.
Any ideas?
(fixed the boots though!)

ooh nasty! The only thing I've done in the past when sticking my fingers together is trying to pick and scrape the glue off with a metal nail file and work my way through!

Nail polish remover. Acetone beats superglue.0

I'm managing to crack it a bit so the material is slightly more flexible, it's a bit sore though!0

Person_one is correct, nail varnish remover. Don't try peeling it off your leg.Good, clean fun....MFW #11 2015 £7657 / £88800

Thanks Person_one I will give it a go.
Got a meeting tomorrow and can't turn up with my trousers glued on!0 -
Hey there, sorry about the mishap. Have you got any acetone knocking around (nail varnish remover)? This will break down the glue.
ETA: Beaten to it! You guys replied faster than a pair of trousers glued to a leg.0 -
Hahahahahaha.....sorry, but that has made me laugh!
I think that you can normally peel superglue from your skin when it has dried as the oils in your skin and the warmth from your body helps it to loosen its grip. I have no idea if it will work with trousers though, I'm sure that someone will be along soon who will be more helpful than me.
You're not alone though, I recently superglued my left trainer to my new kitchen floor......and yes, I was wearing it at the time!

Soaking in warm water can also soften it, the nail varnish remover must be acetone based though (some modern ones aren't)Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
