I have been checking signs, one small car park has changed the sign from clamping to PCN at £200. i was driving past it so couldnt check it out properly will do when in town next
The word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.
We workers all love it and the ppc hate it :rotfl:
  • There are at least 2 places near me which still have clamping/towing signs up. I parked in one of them for 7 hours yesterday. Needless to say my car was still there when I left, not clamped or towed :)

    Isn't £200 beyond BPA limits?
  • Only if they are a member of BPA, if not its a free for all. I wonder how many drop out of bPA?

What do you mean by "income"?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    Owners of what ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    Profit.

We all know that PPCs exist to make a profit.

You make it sound like you all think they are parking management companies or something!! Perish the thought...

Is it really illegal to display clamping only signs now ? Can anyone provide a link to where in the Freedom Act it states clamping signs are illegal ? I ask as I pass many of them on the way to work and I'm tempted to write some mischievous emails.
All aboard the Gus Bus !
