Organic food in supermarkets

I read an article some time ago about how you can get rid of most pesticides from the skin by soaking fruit and veg in water with citric acid, then in water with baking soda, then rinsing (or maybe it was the soda first, and the citric acid second). The article was in a foreign language so I can't really post a link here but am quite tempted to try this. It's meant to be an alternative for when you cannot source or can't afford organic produce.0

Not heard of that myself. I've got a Riverfod veg brush and some organic beg wash stuff from Bentley Organics.0

I think in future, people will be divided by the food they eat - either processed chemical laden stuff or organic.

Sainsbury's supposedly sells more organic food than any UK supermarket. Strawberries were 50% off yesterday, apples were 2 bags for £4. I picked up YS organic celery 84p.0 -

Morrisons (I unfortunately had to go there to pick up some things urgently) have Ecover dishwasher tablets for £3.13, think till 23/3, this is a really good price. Never seen them this cheap though maybe to do with the fact that Ecover now have a new all in one tablet (which I haven't see yet). Tesco also have them even lower at £3 though but too far to go for me. Morrisons also had the large Ecover washing up liquid for £1.50. They had organic bananas in a bag, 5 pack for £1.37 but they were far too green so I'll wait till I go in M&S. Again the organic cherry tomatoes just too green to bother buying.
I don't normally buy Iceberg lettuce but had to get one - though I don't think I've seen an organic one anywhere, anyone know of one??
Priced up my veg order this week and it was over £4 more expensive at A&C than Riverford, bit of a significant difference!0
