So you don't really want to know that some varieties of Green and Blacks are on offer in Tesco just now at £1 a bar, mine had the butterscotch one on offer.0

Glad I'm not the only one! I love the Butterscotch and the Crispy Milk! Creamy milk is lovely too and the Almond..
I've also eaten a G&B multipack from my Ocado order this week.
Tried Poundland again yesterday, still no G&B0 -
Link to the Kallo organic rice cakes in Poundland which Kirri mentioned earlier

Good review on the wine Dozey Crow.. when I had purple carrots I was disappointed that they weren't purple all the way throughGraffiti organic aubergines are pretty with lovely stripes but again ordinaire under the skin.
OH is a total G&B ice cream addict but he only gets it when I find an offerI find the choc too sweet, even the 70%. I bought Lindt Excellence 90% today from Ocado as on offer 25% off. I was good though and only bought one bar.
OH likes these chocolate buttons and they are definitely better than Cadbury's but he only gets them occasionally.

Callie22 the Mr Organic chickpeas are 10% off at Abel & Cole right now

For the benefit of lurkers I will point out that both Abel & Cole and Riverford do minimum orders of 12.50. Delivery is 99p for A&C and free from Riverford. https://www.riverford.co.uk Withe A&C you can mix in meat, poultry, game and fish but if you want meat from Riverford you have to do a minimum order of £25 -something to do with specialist packaging.
With you on the GM Kirri and entirely blaming American GM manufacturers for the scarcity of non GM feed. However it's no longer the gold-plated crop it was for farmers and they can get more for growing organic corn.
In Lidl today and it seems Lidl has indeed switched from grass-pastured GM free New Zealand lamb to British non-organic fed on who knows what lambOnly place I can find NZ lamb now is frozen in Sainsbury's.
Iceland has special value 6 roll packs of Velvet loo rolls for 2.50 so I got two today ie 12 rolls for £5.
Ecover non bio powder 40 washes 12.50 Waitrose any 3 for 2 to 05/11 so 120 washes for £25. Ecover non bio powder 25 washes on offer Sainsbury's 2 for 12.00 so 50 washes for £12 to 15/10
myWaitrose card holders.. look out for offers from Waitrose in post.. my mother got offered £6 off £40 shop and I got offered £5 off £50 shop.0 -

Princes wild red salmon 213g tin on Manager's Special at B&M Stores
1.99 - a real bargain as Sainsbury's has it for £4, Tesco 3.99 and ASDA 3.98

Salt can't be organic (though I've seen it labelled as such). Remember Quasar saying that Himalayan salt was good stuff. Here it is at an affordable price (1.99) in a grinder at B&M 390g

Vegfest is on this weekend at Olympia - are you going Kirri ?
http://london.vegfest.co.uk/
For non-veggies, I reccommend Sainsbury's SO organic pork sausages £3 for 6 (350g). 95% pork, 0.4g carbs per sausage and though yes 12.5g fat per sausage, 6.6g is mono or poly. The casings are natural pork and the antioxidant used is ascorbic acid ie vitamin C. They taste really good and aren't flabby so I reckon they would be equally good in toad in the hole or sausage rolls if you eat them.
For veggies, since August Ocado has had the full Fry's frozen vegetarian range from South Africa. GM free, vegan and no preservatives or MSG. I bought OH the sausage rolls

^ Lakeland also do (or did, not checked recently) a Himalayan salt grinder for I think under £2 at the time, I have one in my kitchen even though I don't use a lot of salt.
But, since visiting Cornwall recently, I came back with lots of pinch pots of Cornish sea salt.. some of these are stocked in supermarkets but not the whole range it seems, compared to the website. Also got the large pot for baking.
No, I wasn't going, but I probably should have, might try and win tickets for next year and make the effort! Wasn't sure how much (organic) stuff I would find - when I had my vegan month I found it even harder than being veggie for the amount of over processed non org stuff. I have had some of the Fry's stuff in the past and liked it. Will have a look through Ocado now..
I have just put some Taifun organic vegan tofu sausages in the pan for lunch (really good! from Ocado, bit pricey however..).0 -
Himalayan salt from Lakeland with grinder 80g 1.89 as mentioned above by Kirri.
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/14583/Himalayan-Pink-Salt
I lurve the Taifun organic basil tofu, I cube it up for salads like cheese. I didn't know they did sausages too thanks Kirri will see if I can eat those.
It does seem like there's a lot of veggie processed food about lately. I bought some Vegetarian Society approved additive-free Iceland cheese and onion crispbakes for £1. Admittedly I wasn't expecting to get all cheese, but they were like mashed potato encased in crumb - pretty non-nutritious really and consequently too carby for me to eat, personally. OH was unimpressed although they didn't taste horrible. I'd put them in the food-for-visiting-veggie kids category for harassed mums faced with kid looking aghast at fish fingers.

Iceland has Vegetarian Society-approved bean burgers which are medium carb at 11.4g each when oven baked. No additives (dextrose is otherwise known as D-glucose or grape sugar). Each burger contains only 4.3g protein and I reckon making them yourself would up that. At £1 for four though, I doubt home-made could beat the price - what do you think Kirri ?
