Organic food in supermarkets

I get the ham and leek tarts and homity pies from Riverford and they taste fan.tas.tic although as carby it's generally OH eating them not me.
I suppose with vegetarian food (and I was a veggie for 11 years) there *should* be less danger of contamination. I would hope that veggie food isn't made on the same line as meat pies but who knows ?
Personally I don't think the veggie convenience food is necessarily healthy eg Quorn, Dalepak, Birds Eye, Linda McCartney though I have eaten them. Don't think I would buy anything from Dalepak now.0 -
Not sure how eco gardening differs from organic but here it is..

Posting this imported American laundry sack up because although it has an admirable message, the price is
ASDA has 300 thread count Egyptian cotton flat sheets for £12 and fitted sheets for £11 and evidently my mother bought loads and thinks they are fantastic.
Which leads me to say are we being exploited financially for trying to shop and eat ethically ?0 -

For first time I ordered Oragnic medium vegetable & salad box from Ocado, 17.99 with smart pass 14.39# at the moment.(OH. -pound sign is not working:eek::eek: )
I received :
- Carrots- 674 g
- Cauliflower-842g(mostly leafs cauliflower head is tiny)
- Courgettes-561g
- Jerusalem Artichoke-565g
- Purslane- 123g
- Red Peppers-522g
- Shallots -659g
- Sweet Potatoes-535g
avocado was replaced with fennel -617g (yuk, we don't eat them,)
- Vine Tomatoes -0g (my tomatoes was missing, so dissapointed as my hubby can live without tomatoes.
All in all price with discount wasn't so bad, but one courgette was mouldy, tomatoes missing, avocados replaced with fennel which we don't use and shallots looked quite damp.:o“The simple things are also the most extraordinary things, and only the wise can see them.”

Hi vincenta :j
Have to say your Ocado veg box seems disappointing. If I were you I'd take photos of manky veg and email them to Ocado and complain. Hopefully then you'll get at least a partial refund.
I've never had mouldy damp veg from Ocado anytime I've ordered a box so I would def complain if I were you.
Lofbergs Kafferosteriet 'Serenad' organic ground coffee arrived by courier from Totally Swedish today. Hope it's as good as the 'Harmoni' which is OOS. This one is cheaper though. www.totallyswedish.com
Yes it's an expensive indulgence but I figure I buy it out of the money we save by not drinking, smoking or eating takeaways.
Still waiting for the Farmaround order..0 -

With Ocado, I had a message saying if I wanted vine tomatoes (not as part of a veg box) for today they were out of stock, but from tomorrow onwards they would be back in stock, so I changed my delivery slot.
Also, some breads are only available after Wednesday so its fine for me.0
