Sports without Sky?

Options
Sky rising their prices is a joke seeing as I already pay over £80 p/m to them. We have Sky predominantly for the Sports channels, including ESPN and we also have their broadband.

What other options area available to me for to watch the football? BT have quoted me £57 p/m and I'm not in a Virgin area.

BT Vision, Top Up TV, Talk Talk TV, all on the Freeview platform.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • It depends on which sports you actually want to view - only Sky and Virgin have all six sports channels whilst TopUpTV and BT Vision only have Sky Sports 1 & 2 also without the red button interactive alternative match/event options and in SD only.

Do you still have to subscribe to a Sky 'base pack' (Entertainment or Entertainment Extra) before you can subscribe to Sports or Movie channels?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Yes - the last time you could only subscribe to Sky Sports it was only £1 cheaper - the cost of adding one mix at the time and it works out that the rest of the minimum subscription was considered as an "administration fee" for the account
