I hope you don't mean that the doctor shouldn't have told the DVLA about the Epilepsy:confused: I am sure you didn't:D

    . :(
No not at all :D In fact in my OP the worse thing they did was give it back to her when she hadn't had a fit for 12 months, she then stopped taking her meds as she decided she didnt need them. Hence 3 car accidents fortunately without the children in the car    As far as I know she is still driving but we don't get on and don't have anything to do with each other, puts my brother in a difficult position mind  but i totally agree with your post i wa just trying to show its not always simple :A :T

edit - just to add on to the rest of your post Poppy, when i was diagnosed with my disabillity i was advised by occupational therapy to inform DVLA which i did do. I still have my license which i am very grateful for but had i been classed as a danger to drive then to be perfectly honest i simply would't want to put myself or others in danger and i cant understand anyone that would  my disabillity was caused through a car accident by a woman who should of had her license revoked, say no more

After attending an accident where an 80 year old man ran over his wife with the car in the car park.... I think we don't have some peoples licences taken away fast enough. It takes quite a long time even with police intervention to get a licence revoked.

HOWEVER, the original question was about selling the car. The answer would be place a free ad in your local paper, this can be done by phone or e-mail in most cases.
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

I would like to thank everyone who offer4ed advice re my husbands licence etc.
He will be able to have his licence re-instated without a test when he is able to prove that he has had at least 3 stable months without any change in medication. The re-issue can take 3 months so that is a minimum of 6 months without driving.
Our finances are dire but under control, just!Selling the car is our only option.I am now taking that job on board myself.First start I used Autotrader self pricing chart for the general info and printed it off.I then adjusted that price for some damage to the car door based on the price I was given to repair it.I have now put that price with ono on a sticker in the window. The car is in the drive and we do get quite a bit of passing traffic etc.
I have cancelled the insurance because it was expensive and we need every penny we can get.The car is taxed to the end of August so I have got a SORN form but wont use it just yet.
I have made a plan for the cash I get so that I have been able to set myself a figure I wont drop below or I might just be tempted to take anything. The car is recently MOTed so that is a plus.
I will let you know how I get on. Thanks again.
  • I've just had to sell mine for the same reason (epilepsy). A quick tip - if you decide to put it on Autotrader at all bear in mind if you buy a 3-week advert and it sells in the first week you don't get a refund on the remaining weeks. I just found that out
Could you do with a Money Makeover?
