Hi all, I'm looking for some help please. This morning (10/10/2012) when I turned on the laptop windows automatically updated (like usual) but ever since then every time I click on something like Internet Explorer, Google, etc a message comes up -
Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point RtlCopyContext could not be located in the dynamic library ntdll.dll.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem?? I'm guessing it's to do with the automatic updates??
Thanks

Im sure someone more expert than myself will be along to give you better advice.
I have heard this is a problem after downloading updates, think someone mentioned service pack 1?
Not an easy fix but could be wrong?
You can try system restore to earlier point or in add/remove programmes remove the latest updates. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
Thanks Hasbeen, I've already tried a system restore to no avail. I have also found all of todays updates but cannot remove them.0

Does system restore say it has restored or unable to?
If unable to try booting up in safe mode and try again.
Do updates show up with remove function? The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
System restore said it didn't work - couldn't see any reason given for that.
When I try an unistall todays updates I get this message:
An error occured while trying to unistall security Update...blah....blah...blaah.............It may have already been unistalled.
Then it asks if I would like to remove Security Update.
If I click on 'yes' nothing happens.0 -
Microsoft technet discuss it here:

What op system are you running? The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
This should be quick to try.
- Click the start orb, and type CMD in the search box.
- Right click on CMD and choose "Run as Administrator"
- At the command prompt, copy/paste all the following command inside the code box below (don't include code:)
sfc /scanfile=C:\Windows\System32\api-ms-win-core-xstate-l1-1-1.dll
- Press enter on your keyboard.

Great!but your system will look to install updates again in future? would advise when you get asked to install updates choose custom and pick what you need to install.
Looks like the (KB2507938) update is problematic?
If it slips through try Waddler_8 experts solution:jThe world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
Looking at it again it possibly won't work. I think MS have messed up.

Ignore ntdll.dll for now.
The function RtlCopyContext doesn't exist in api-ms-win-core-xstate-l1-1-0.dll

It does however exist in api-ms-win-core-xstate-l1-1-1.dll
