What's your pet hate about comping?

Competitions where you have to keep the product wrapper and (sometimes) also the receipt from where you bought it, not only up until the main competition end date, but right up to, say 6 months later when they do a special one off draw, and you daren't throw the wrapper away in case you miss out.
Facebook voting comps where you have to get your friends to vote. A disadvantage from the start if your friends have absolutely no interest in comps, and if you don't have many friends to start with. Voting comps in general are horrible.
Phone calls asking if you entered a big comp recently and you excitedly say "YES!" and then you realise you have won diddly squat because they offer you magazines subs for £1 a copy. the disappointment is crushing sometimes.
LEM's that have the heading "Re. the £2000 gadget comp you entered"- and when you open the message = nuff said
Sneaky tick boxes that, if you aren't careful and are rushing, bombard your emithers with spam. I don't have any PPI nor need any credit.
*I shouldn't grumble really, I have done rather well with this hobby of mine. Lets face it peeps - sometimes it's well worth itBEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j0 -
No timeframe to take them with holiday comps. It's like you have to guess when you'd be able to take it if you won!
Like/share comps on FB - do my nut in
Also, like others have said, those This Competition Prize emails where you open and it's all like "afraid not this time young padowan."
But I have only been around for 5 months or so.
Pros: the entire comping community - you're all vunderbar! :TBack to comping after a 3-year hiatus :j0 -

I know it's all down to the coding but it's so annoying!
For me it's "house number" fields that are numbers only! I have a flat number which has a forward-slash in it (i.e. flat 2/1). Some will accept it with a hyphen instead, some with a full stop, but some won't even let you put spaces in! So I end up living at 2139 instead of flat 2/1, number 39. Very annoying! And of course makes me worry someone else is going to end up with my prizes!2018 wins: Aspinal of London jewellery box, Boudavida gym outfit, HP Pavilion laptop, The List party tickets, All Points East festival tickets, Kiehls moisturiser, By Terry cc serum, Nars Liquid Bronzer, Benefit highlighter, Nars illuminator, Fresh advanced lip trio set, Cetaphil sample set, signed copy of My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent0 -

My Daughter gets round it putting her house number in the number field and the road the Flat number in the street field, so that line would be 'Anywhere Road Flat 3' for example.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Compers arguing over the most useless things... I don't ever really get involved (I'll like posts by people who I think are coherant!) but I find it really annoying. It's like a car crash, I don't want to look but I can't tear my eyes away!
Anything involving liking and sharing, I personally don't do them and think we should all boycott them :rotfl: I dont get how they are allowed if it is against FB rules
This one is probably just mine, but also the amount of time I waste!! I end up researching the hotels and deciding who shall I give what for xmas... and I haven't even won it yet!!
However I love this forum. Would be lost without it :T0 -

Or how about the "apparent" newbie who announces a win on their first, second, third or fourth post ......
But when you look at their profile you realise that they have been a member for the last few years!0
