:rotfl: I think I really have lost the plot. This site sends me from screaming to laughing and back again.

JessicAhh you are a sweetie. I wasn't getting at you either. This is a strange thread because it is fun and interesting to read people's gripes at comping generally. But I don't like it when people use this thread to take a sideways snipe at people here.

The “inappropriate use of the thanks button”????????

That’s it for me – that is the straw that has broken this particular camel’s back. I think you lot have finally sent me over the rainbow.

I am used to being called greedy because I choose to sell some prizes, and selfish for daring to be a comper in the first place. I don’t thank every comp, or every post, so apparently I am also rude and nasty. I make the odd mistake here too, so I guess that means I’m slapdash, lazy and thoughtless. But on top of all these ‘crimes’ I now find that I also use the thanks button inappropriately, as a marker instead of as a sincere expression of gratitude! So what does that make me? You’ll have to help me on that one because I’m struggling to find any part of my character that is left to attack.

I’ll tell you my pet hate about comping, I can sum it up in one word: Intolerance!

    Blu

I use the thanks button as a marker too  how dare you take all the credit for my idea!! ;):D

Me either! Imagine my surprise when I learnt South Tyrol is in Italy....I always thought it was in Yorkshire :o

Really?!?! I purposefully didn't enter this competition because I thought it was in Ireland, and Ireland is far to wet and cold to be a dream holiday destination for me... and I work in TRAVEL !:rotfl:

This does mean, on the flip side, that if anyone gets a mid-thread thanks (except on one of the regularly updated threads), that must mean you're exceptionally 'gratitudinous' and that person must be super-duper amazing?! :D:D

*Wanders off to check post thanks*
