Unknown CCJ is it void if they have my Initial wrong?

Options
Hi my husband didn't pay our gas bill on time and unbeknown to me we got a CCJ.
He didn't tell me because even though the bill is in joint names, the paperwork was sent twice, once with Mr & his Initial and Surname and once Mrs his Initial and surname and not my initial.
He therefore thought it was a duplicate rather than intended for me as we have different initials - they never spelt our first names out in full on any document.
This was in 2009 and he paid it in full 2months and several days after the CCJ was given.
I only found this out today whilst checking my credit file and went mad at him.
I rang the courts to ask that as it was given in the wrong name ie Mrs and Surname correct but initial incorrect, is it infact void and could they remove it.
The court person didn't know what to do and said either get the solicitors of the gas company to sort it out, though i am reluctant as it is onky showing on 1 major credit ref agency and not the other 2, and I am scared that the solicitors will alter against me and add my correct details, she also said to maybe apply for it to be 'Set Aside' but I am not sure again if this is the right thing to do......does anyone on here have a clue as to if the County Court is in the wrong name - albeit just the initial (I have only a first name so it is quite seriously wrong), is it Void?
I am only asking for my CCJ to be deleted as it is the only wrong one.
Many thanks in advance.

    Wow!

You have a county court judgement against you, and you, or your husband, never had any notice of the impending court case?

You need to get in touch with the courts again.

Yes - he did have notice, he just kept it hidden from me and got the CCJ after putting it in his 'to do' file and missing the date, he then didn't pay within the 28 days and it got registered on our credit files.

I didn't get any paperwork as he put it in with his, thinking he'd sort it out before I knew!

However like I said he thought they'd just duplicated the actual CCJ as it was his initial and Surname on them both.

I wasn't sure if setting it aside was correct as in effect, it isn't in my name anyway as the initial is Mrs A and mine is Mrs M, though it is showing on 1 of the big 3 credit ref agencies.
