She's 18 months old, just finishing raising 2 kittens. She's just woken up after being spayed in the picture, her eyes are a bright green.
I had my home check this afternoon.
We already have a cat and a dog but the cat is missing feline companionship as the cat she'd lived with since being a kitten was PTS with kidney failure.
Introductions are going to be done slowly though as the resident cat is 12.
We decided on a black cat after reading that they are the ones most likely to struggle to find homes.
My daughter is very excited as this is her first new pet. She was also given the privilege of naming the kittens.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

How lovely that you not only went for the 'harder to home' cat (due to her colouring, I love all cats but it seems the black cats are too plain for some
) but that you also chose her over the, undoubtedly cute, kittens :T :A
I hope you all have many happy years together

I will post more pictures once she's home, as the above picture doesn't due her justice.
Head over heart over the kittens, it wouldn't be fair on the resident cat and dog at their ages to introduce the energy of a kitten.Proud to be dealing with my debts

my Giz is black with a small white dab on his chest.
Being black does make it hard to find them in the dark.. esp when he decides to sleep in front of the loo!!!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

She's home and settling in quite well, she has been eating and drinking, but nothing in the litter tray yet.
She's very playful, but no claws or anything.
Her kittens are going to their new home on Wednesday
Is there I should do to build her up after feeding and caring for her kittens?Proud to be dealing with my debts

she'll let you know how hungry she is.
i have some dry food down all the time and Giz has 2 or 3 wet pouches a day, depending on how hungry he is.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

I like black cats - their eyes are usually a vivid splash of colour and black fur can be very glossy and shiny.
actually I love all cats!!0 -
