I don't blame till workers for doing this! I think it's a good idea!:rotfl:

The customer only notices when they next try to use it, and its difficult to prove they didn't spend on it. Someone got caught in my store doing this because they used their discount card when they used the stolen giftcard
Same happened to me, but they said it was a computer error, and gave me a new card. Luckily I had a receipt prooving what was meant to be on the card!

It would be nice if they could have a charity or school that automatically beneifts when a customer doesn't have a card with them.
Well done for spotting what the cashier had done !0 -
Definately theft. I think I may have got the Police involved if it had been me in those situations, it might sound like going too far but theft is theft!0

Me too, as long as the person doesn't give a card (unlike in the OP case) then i don't see any problem with it, Tesco's are the only ones who lose out, someone might as well have the points!!He who laughs last, thinks slowest0 -
We had a problem with a member of staff who used to do this at the Supermarket I worked at - They had no less than 16 accounts in various names and kept swiping them at the tills instead of customers - needless to say they got fired immediately once Management found out.
Working at the now defunct Safeway I did have one incident where on a quiet evening I was working on the till, I was bored. so I typed in my Staff ABC Card number (I could rememebr it off by heart, sad eh!) to see what my current points balance was. Printed it off then cancelled the transaction. However there was a system quirk that if you didnt cancel the transaction a certain way and the next customer didnt have an ABC card, it used the details of the one which had been swiped before hand. So I accidentaly gained the next customers points as they didnt have an ABC Card, but at the same time, they got 10% off with my Staff Discount! lolol0 -
while i was at sainsburys last year 2 young but very dumb and stupid girls on checkouts swiped theyre own nectar cards through to gain the points from other customers if they didnt have a nectar card, the temptation is there for me to do it as theres cameras all over,
they should check teh cctv cameras and then sack the so and soNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
I think this is shocking  I work for Tesco on the checkouts and I have done for the past 15 years and I wouldn't dream of doing this
You aren't allowed to carry anything like that with you on the shopfloor ( money or cards).
I am glad you noticed as it shows us all in a bad light :mad:0 -
I was once in the cop-op and don't have a card for that shop, must have spent about £100.
The lady in the queue behind me said could she have my points. The assistant was adamant that that was so not allowed. Never did notice if she swiped her own card or not
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0
